The Magical Paronella Park

December 2020

At Christmas time my Mum came to visit so I took her for a little overnight trip to the Mamu Skywalk and Paronella Park. We stayed the night at Paronella Park and it was great, we did the day tour and the night tour, the tours were different so it was cool to do both.

We stayed in a little cabin, it was $99 for the night to stay there, we had two single beds, aircon, and used the shower blocks which were clean and adequate. It costs $50 for an entry pass to the park itself, this is valid for two years so you can go visit as much as you like after you purchase it.

The night tour was most impressive if you can only do one, they do a full light show with music and it was a beautiful experience, well worth the visit.

We had dinner at the pub up the road – The Mena Creek Hotel – food was okay, they book you in for an early dinner (5:30pm) if you want to do the night tour cause from memory it starts at 7pm.

They let me fly my drone between 8am and 9am, you can enter the park through the accommodation so no one was around and it was cool to have the park to ourselves.

The Mena Falls are really nice, there is a hanging bridge that you can walk across for a view from above.

There is a bamboo forest at the back of the park and lots of little creeks and paths to explore.

There is a turtle breeding area too and there is a lot of life in the water! We saw many turtles and fish.

For more information check out their page – Paronella Park or you can buy tickets at Paronella Park Reservations . In my opinion, its a magical place that is definitely worth a visit.
