Day trippin’ through the Sunshine Coast Hinterlands

We were driving from Kennilworth Bluff Campgrounds into Maroochydore so we decided to take the scenic route, we drove along Maleny Kenniworth Rd and stopped at the Fig Tree Walk for a wander. It was a nice spot to stop and have a little trek through, its about a 1km circuit. Huge fig trees and lots of birds and wildlife. Stinging trees throughout so be careful you don’t tread on fallen leaves or touch them.

We then continued on driving through small towns like Cambroon, Curramore and Conondale, we just pulled in when we saw signs for waterfalls or lookouts.

These photos are at Gardners Falls, they’re in Maleny, there was a rope swing on the other side of the waterfall which would be cool in Summer. It was way to cold to swim when we were there (July). The graffiti on the huts were cool, great bit of colour in the wild.

Wedrove through Maleny, I would live in this sweet little town, its such a beautiful spot. We drove on and stopped at Gerrard Lookout which was a beaut view of the Sunshine Coast, its just before you get into Montville.

We stopped in Montville and went to The Edge Cafe, Bar & Restaurant – Montville (theedgerestaurant.net.au) honestly check this place out, seriously so beautiful, the views, the food, just a perfect spot to stop if you are traveling through!
